Communities
AI Austria’s communities connect people working with artificial intelligence across Austria. They create spaces for exchange, visibility, collaboration, and local momentum across regions, technologies, and application areas.
Whether you are a practitioner, researcher, founder, policymaker, student, or simply curious about AI, our communities are designed to help you connect with the people shaping the Austrian AI ecosystem.
Local Meetups
Beyond named communities, AI Austria supports regular meetups, informal exchange, and ecosystem gatherings that help people connect across roles and organizations.
AI Breakfast Vienna
We bring together people from research, business, technology, and policy for informal conversations over breakfast. Without slides or presentations, we exchange perspectives, share experiences, and make new connections across Vienna’s AI community before the working day begins.
AI Afterwork
Join us for relaxed conversations at the end of the working day. Whether you build AI, use it in your work, or are simply curious, join us to exchange ideas and meet new people.
AI Austria Meetup Innsbruck
Calling all people building and researching AI across Tyrol, bringing industry and academia together. Through technical talks, practical insights, and open discussion, we explore how AI works in real projects and learn from each other’s experience.
AI Salon Vienna
We bring together people from business, industry, and the creative sector to explore the decisions AI puts before us. Together with our co-organisers, we combine expert perspectives with participatory discussions, creating space to exchange experiences and challenge familiar assumptions.
Regional Communities
Our regional communities help connect AI actors where they are. They strengthen local ecosystems, make expertise more visible, and create accessible entry points for people and organizations across Austria.
AI Carinthia
As part of AI Austria, AI Carinthia drives regional growth through community building and cross-border knowledge exchange. We explore the full spectrum of AI, covering everything from ethics and research to economic and artistic applications.
AI Styria
The initiative brings together the region’s key players to foster dialogue, strengthen the local ecosystem, and advance the application of AI in the region.
AI Upper Austria
We unite independent experts from research, industry, and the private sector. Our platform serves as a hub for networking and sharing applied AI expertise.
Topic Communities
AI Austria supports topic-based communities for people who want deeper exchange around specific AI fields and methods.
AI Governance Community
We bring together people working across law, risk, compliance, business and technology.
Our focus is practical exchange: Which frameworks and operating models work? How can teams embed legal requirements and risk controls into everyday workflows? And how can governance technology support oversight, accountability and the rollout of AI agents?
